Horror-centered local band collaborates with Hotel of Horror for music video filmed inside the historic Saylorsburg attraction.
SAYLORSBURG, PA – September 2026 - Horror-centered punk band Rebel Reapers filmed the music video for their song “Play With Her Guts” inside Hotel of Horror in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, through a creative collaboration that gave the band access to the historic haunted attraction and its distinctive interior environments.
For Rebel Reapers frontman Ripper, the project also answered a question he carried for years.
“For the longest time I’ve seen this place and just been very intrigued because I see the exterior and I feel a connection to it, but I’ve always wondered what’s inside those walls,” he said.
The band is based roughly 20 minutes from Hotel of Horror and describes itself as deeply rooted in horror, theatricality, and dark humor. Psycho Pat called the collaboration, a natural local fit.
“We are a band that’s very horror centric. I mean, all we do is horror. So, what better place than a haunted house to film the video?”
What began as an introductory conversation developed into a broader creative collaboration. During the band’s walk-through of the five-floor attraction, scenes began to take shape around the Hotel’s existing rooms and environments.
“Honestly, my vision of the video- everything was here,” Ripper said. “When I initially did the walk-through, the vision in my head, I said,’ Yep, that’s the room for this part. That’s the room for this.’”
The resulting video uses several areas of the Hotel, including the demonic church, swamp, and other themed environments. The production also drew on the Hotel team’s familiarity with the building and its effects, including guidance on timing scenes in spaces that can be difficult to capture on camera.
Hotel of Horror periodically collaborates with independent artists, filmmakers, photographers, and other creators when a project is a strong fit for the property and the production schedule allows. Access is considered on a project-by-project basis.
For Rebel Reapers, the building became more than a backdrop.
“When you have a set, that is as amazing as the Hotel of Horror, it just amplifies what we do to that next level,” Ripper said. “Everything’s about the environment.”
The band's visual identity, combines horror, theatrical performance and camp. Ripper described the direction succinctly:
“I wanted it to be like Rob Zombie’s movies meet Scooby-Doo.”
The collaboration may not end with one video. During a follow up interview filmed at the Hotel, Rebel Reapers discussed the possibility of returning for future projects. Psycho Pat noted that the band had only used a fraction of the building.
“We could do 10 more videos here and we wouldn’t have to repeat a single room,” he said.
