How Weather Affects Your Visit
Some guests hope for clear skies.
Around the Hotel, thunderstorms have always made excellent storytellers.
Two Indoor Attractions
Most of your experience takes place inside the historic Lake House Hotel. Once you've entered the attraction, you'll spend the majority of your visit, exploring indoor environments rather than walking through outdoor trails. Your wait line is predominately covered as well with a tented outdoor queue and an indoor queue before entering.
Open Through the Season
Hotel of Horror is designed to operate through typical autumn weather; including rain, chilly evenings, fog, and windy October nights.
Operational changes due to severe weather are very uncommon, but if they become necessary, they'll be announced through this page and Hotel of Horror official social channels.
Preparing for the Grounds
We have you covered for haunted entertainment, but during your arrival- you will encounter a short walk from your car to the Hotel, and a small wait before you will be checked in at the Box Office under its retractable awning. You may want to consider an umbrella-but you also need to know that the umbrellas will not be permitted inside.
Additional Information
Your umbrella may be left with Box Office for you to pick up after the hauntings. We have not lost one yet- but many have been left- don't forget yours!
We ask that you wear comfortable closed-toe shoes to our event. Please do not wear flip flops, bedroom slippers, or even high heels.
Current Conditions & Forecast
