HOTEL OF HORROR ANNOUNCES 2026 HAUNTED HOUSE SEASON IN THE POCONO MOUNTAINS
Two haunted attractions reopen inside historic Lake House Hotel in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania.

Hotel of Horror will return for its 2026 production season this fall, bringing two haunted attractions alive inside the historic Lake House Hotel in Saylorsburg Pennsylvania.
Operating as a haunted attraction since 1992, Hotel of Horror occupies a permanent, five floor historic hotel in the Pocono Mountains. The property traces its history to the 1800s with the present Lake House Hotel building dating to 1895.
The 2026 season features two distinct haunted attractions under one roof: Hotel of Horror and Altered Nightmares.
Hotel of Horror takes guests through the original five floor attraction, from the cavernous basement to the towering attic and back again. Victorian beauty, decaying hotel rooms, forgotten spaces, and original scenic environments create a journey built around the history and character of the building itself.
Altered Nightmares offers a different experience within the same historic property. Brighter, stranger, and more psychologically disorientating. The attraction blends occult imagery, surreal environments, and fun house influences into a world where perception becomes increasingly unreliable.
Hotel of Horror has been haunting generations of locals and visitors to the Pocono Mountains since 1992 and draws guests from across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and the surrounding region.
The 2026 season will run on select nights throughout the fall.

Established as a haunted attraction in 1992, the permanent five floor facility is home to two haunted houses – Hotel of Horror and Altered Nightmares – combining original scenic design, live performers and the atmosphere of a historic Pocono Hotel.
